Paratypes: RMNH 32991-99 (9, 5 localities). •Valid as Barbus truttiformis Nagelkerke & Sibbing 1997 -- (Nagelkerke & Sibbing 1998:5 [ref. 23807], Nagelkerke & Sibbing 2000:199 [ref. 24546], de Graaf et al. 2000:7 [ref. 25061]). •Valid as Labeobarbus truttiformis (Nagelkerke & Sibbing 1997) -- (de Graaf et al. 2010:340 [ref. 34085], Vreven et al. 2016:70 [ref. 34168], Beshera et al. 2016:377 [ref. 34343], Beshera et al. 2023:190 [ref. 40418]). Current status: Valid as Labeobarbus truttiformis (Nagelkerke & Sibbing 1997). Cyprinidae: Torinae. Distribution: East Africa: Lake Tana and its tributaries (Ethiopia). Habitat: freshwater.
