Paratypes: MNHN 1997-4140 to 4142 (3, 2, 2), 1998-302 (5); MUFS 14775 (1, dissected), 14874 (1); NSMT-P 54577 (1). •Valid as Dentex fourmanoiri Akazaki & Séret 1999 -- (Carpenter 2001:2999 [ref. 26104], Iwatsuki et al. 2007:33 [ref. 29100], Fricke 2011:402 [ref. 31242], Iwatsuki et al. 2015:114 [ref. 33802] misspelled once as formanoiri, Parenti 2019:60 [ref. 36892]). Current status: Valid as Dentex fourmanoiri Akazaki & Séret 1999. Sparidae. Distribution: Southwestern Pacific: Chesterfield Islands, Grande Terre and Ile des Pins (New Caledonia). Habitat: marine.
