P.] 1999:239, Figs. 4-5 [Ichthyological Exploration of Freshwaters v. 10 (no. 3); ref. 24226] Lake Mbuta Basin, 3°58'06"S, 134°57'24"E, about 8 kilometers northwest of Etna Bay, Irian Jaya, Indonesia, depth to 1.5 meters. Holotype: MZB 9352. Paratypes: MZB 9353 (11), WAM P.31300-005 (20). Type catalog: Moore et al. 2008:48 [ref. 30117]. •Valid as Mogurnda mbuta Allen & Jenkins 1999 -- (Allen & Haidiaty 2014:102 [ref. 33276], Parenti 2021:53 [ref. 38603]). Current status: Valid as Mogurnda mbuta Allen & Jenkins 1999. Eleotridae: Eleotrinae. Distribution: New Guinea: Mbuta basin (West Papua, Indonesia). Habitat: freshwater.
