Holotype: MZB 9354. Paratypes: MZB 9355 (15), WAM P.31301-003 (16). Type catalog: Moore et al. 2008:48 [ref. 30117], •Valid as Mogurnda kaifayama Allen & Jenkins 1999 -- (Parenti 2021:52 [ref. 38603]). Current status: Valid as Mogurnda kaifayama Allen & Jenkins 1999. Eleotridae: Eleotrinae. Distribution: New Guinea: Lake Kaifayama (West Papua/Indonesia). Habitat: freshwater.
