Holotype (unique): MNHNC P.7125. •Valid as Careproctus magellanicus Matallanas & Pequeño 2000 -- (Andriashev 2003:144 [ref. 26955], Chernova et al. 2004:10 [ref. 27592], Matallanas & Piacentino 2019:36 [ref. 37082]). Current status: Valid as Careproctus magellanicus Matallanas & Pequeño 2000. Liparidae. Distribution: Southern Ocean: Drake Passage, northeast of Cape Horn, Patagonia; known only from the holotype. Habitat: marine.
