Current status: Valid as Brachygobius mekongensis Larson & Vidthayanon 2000. Gobiidae: Gobionellinae. Distribution: Southeast Asia: Mekong River basin, central andd southern Laos, Thailand and Cambodia. Habitat: freshwater.
