P.] & Ortega [H.] 2000:133, Fig. 5 [Ichthyological Exploration of Freshwaters v. 11 (no. 2); ref. 24436] Mouth of Río Huambo, where it empties into Río Pachitea, about 9°39'S, 74°56'W, Province Pachitea, Depto de Huanuco, Peru, elevation 260 meters. Holotype: MUSM 10759. Paratypes: MUSM 6573 (2), 10315 (3), 12751-53 (8, 2, 1); ROM 55894 (10); USNM 349697 (1), 349698 (10, 2 c&s), 349704 (1), 349710 (1). •Valid as Attonitus irisae Vari & Ortega 2000 -- (Buckup in Reis et al. 2003:113 [ref. 27061], Thomaz et al. 2015:Add. 5 [ref. 33893], Meza-Vargas et al. 2021:17 [ref. 39298]). Current status: Valid as Attonitus irisae Vari & Ortega 2000. Stevardiidae: Diapominae. Distribution: South America: Aguaytia and Pachitea rivers in Ucayali River basin (Peru). Habitat: freshwater.
