Paratypes: NSMT-P 52636 (1); MUMF 2011 (1), 2045-48 (4), 2051-55 (5), 2145-46 (2), 2236-40 (5), 2250-51 (2). •Synonym of Semiplotus cirrhosus Chaudhuri 1919 -- (Kottelat 2013:162 [ref. 32989] with question). •Valid as Semiplotus manipurensis Vishwanath & Kosygin 2000 -- (Bleher 2018:787 [ref. 36647]). Current status: Valid as Semiplotus manipurensis Vishwanath & Kosygin 2000. Cyprinidae: Barbinae. Distribution: South Asia: Chindwin River basin, Manipur, India. Habitat: freshwater.
