Paratypes: USNM 350113 (41). •Valid as Cottus caeruleomentum Kinziger, Raesly & Neely 2000 -- (Nelson et al. 2004:119 [ref. 27807], Scharpf 2008:8 [ref. 30399], Page & Burr 2011:476 [ref. 31215], Page et al. 2013:122 [ref. 32708], Goto et al. 2014:[10] [ref. 33456]). Current status: Valid as Cottus caeruleomentum Kinziger, Raesly & Neely 2000. Cottidae. Distribution: Eastern U.S.A. Habitat: freshwater.
