ectypus, Mystacoleucus Kottelat [M.] 2000:44, Fig. 11 [Journal of South Asian Natural History v. 5 (no. 1); ref. 25040] Nam Mang downstream of Ban Thabok, between 18°22'25"N, 103°13'30"E, and about 1 kilometer upstream, Vientiane Province, Laos. Holotype: ZRC 45306. Paratypes: CMK 13151 (19), LARRI uncat. (5), NRM 45444 (5), ZRC 45307 (5). •Valid as Mystacoleucus ectypus Kottelat 2000 -- (Kottelat 2001:61 [ref. 25780], Kottelat 2013:125 [ref. 32989], Kottelat 2015:42 [ref. 33971], Taki et al. 2021:144 [ref. 39830]). Current status: Valid as Mystacoleucus ectypus Kottelat 2000. Cyprinidae: Cyprininae. Distribution: Southeast Asia: Mekong River basin, Laos, Thailand and Cambodia. Habitat: freshwater.
