Holotype: ZRC 45308. Paratypes: CMK 14016 (1), 14225 (8), 14334 (2); LARRI uncat. (2); NRM 44886 (2), ZRC 45309 (2). •Valid as Poropuntius angustus Kottelat 2000 -- (Kottelat 2001:69 [ref. 25780], Taki et al. 2021:122 [ref. 39830]). •Synonym of Poropuntius huangchuchieni (Tchang 1962) -- (Hoang et al. 2024:210 [ref. 41179]). Current status: Synonym of Poropuntius huangchuchieni (Tchang 1962). Cyprinidae: Cyprininae. Habitat: freshwater.
