Holotype: ZRC 45315. Paratypes: CMK 14318 (2), LARRI uncat. (1), ZRC 45316 (1). •Valid as Rasbora septentrionalis Kottelat 2000 -- (Kottelat 2001:78 [ref. 25780], Liao et al. 2010:166 [ref. 30521], Kottelat 2013:154 [ref. 32989], Zhang et al. 2016:51 [ref. 34477], Fu et al. 2021:9569 [ref. 39347], Taki et al. 2021:103 [ref. 39830]). Current status: Valid as Rasbora septentrionalis Kottelat 2000. Danionidae: Rasborinae. Distribution: Southeast Asia: upper Mekong River basin, northern Laos and Yunnan (China). Habitat: freshwater.
