septentrionalis, Rasbora Kottelat [M.] 2000:51, Fig. 19 [Journal of South Asian Natural History v. 5 (no. 1); ref. 25040] Stream said to be Nam Sing (but obviously not according to map) near Ban Nakbon (village also said to have another name), 4 kilometers east southeast of Muang Sing, 21°10'47"N, 101°10'50"E, Louangnamtha Province, Laos. Holotype: ZRC 45315. Paratypes: CMK 14318 (2), LARRI uncat. (1), ZRC 45316 (1). •Valid as Rasbora septentrionalis Kottelat 2000 -- (Kottelat 2001:78 [ref. 25780], Liao et al. 2010:166 [ref. 30521], Kottelat 2013:154 [ref. 32989], Zhang et al. 2016:51 [ref. 34477], Fu et al. 2021:9569 [ref. 39347], Taki et al. 2021:103 [ref. 39830]). Current status: Valid as Rasbora septentrionalis Kottelat 2000. Danionidae: Rasborinae. Distribution: Southeast Asia: upper Mekong River basin, northern Laos and Yunnan (China). Habitat: freshwater.
