Neotype designated by Roberts & Catania 2008:90 [ref. 29794] -- termed invalid by Kottelat 2013; and he says neotype seems to be Spinibarbus vittatus. New lectotype selected by Kottelat 2013. •Questionably valid as Crossocheilus namlenensis Nguyen & Doan 1969 -- (Kottelat 2001:21 [ref. 25482]). •Clearly a Neolissochilus and probably a synonym of N. benasi (Pellegrin & Chevey 1936) -- (Roberts & Catania 2008:94 [ref. 29794]). •Synonym of Neolissochilus benasi Nguyen & Doan 1969 -- (Kottelat 2013:126 [ref. 32989]). •Nomen nudum -- (Endruweit 2024:15 [ref. 41040]).
