Holotype: BPBM 22296. Paratypes: BPBM 33544 (1); ROM 45592 (3), 49507 (2), 53186-87 (7, 2), 63950 (1), 64174 (1), 64309 (4), 64429 (2); USNM 361372 (1). •Valid as Coryphopterus gracilis Randall 2001 -- (Randall 2005:524 [ref. 28239]). •Valid as Fusigobius gracilis (Randall 2001) -- (Nakabo 2002:1248 [ref. 26193], Hoese & Larson 2006:1651 [ref. 29097], Dimara et al. 2010:621 [ref. 31108], Motomura et al. 2010:212 [ref. 31256], Allen & Erdmann 2012:970 [ref. 31980], Fricke et al. 2014:165 [ref. 33932], Parenti 2021:157 [ref. 38603]). Current status: Valid as Fusigobius gracilis (Randall 2001). Gobiidae: Gobiinae. Distribution: Western Pacific: Philipines east to Fiji, north to Ryukyu Islands (Japan), south to Great Barrier Reef (Queensland, Australia) and New Caledonia. Habitat: marine.
