Holotype: ZRC 46317. Paratypes: CMK 14895 (2). Type catalog: Ferraris 2007:376 [ref. 29155], Ng & Kim 2008:52 [ref. 29920]. •Valid as Pterocryptis crenula Ng & Freyhof 2001 -- (Ng & Chan 2005:54 [ref. 28371], Ferraris 2007:376 [ref. 29155], Kottelat & Leisher 2012:240 [ref. 32277], Kottelat 2013:237 [ref. 32989], Ng et al. 2018:132 [ref. 36220]). Current status: Valid as Pterocryptis crenula Ng & Freyhof 2001. Siluridae. Distribution: Northern Vietnam. Habitat: freshwater.
