Original not seen. •Valid as Petrocephalus wesselsi Kramer & van der Bank 2000 -- (Skelton 2001:368 [ref. 27406], Marshall 2011:55 [ref. 31755], Kramer et al. 2012:2233, 2249 [ref. 32160]). Current status: Valid as Petrocephalus wesselsi Kramer & van der Bank 2000. Mormyridae. Distribution: Sabie River, Kruger National Park, South Africa, Southern Africa. Habitat: freshwater.
