thermalis, Neocottus Sideleva [V. G.] 2002:275, Fig. [Voprosy Ikhtiologii v. 42 (no. 2); ref. 26019] Lake Baikal, depth 430-480 meters. Holotype: ZIN 52196. Paratypes: USNM 360863 (1); ZIN 52197 (4 or 52), ?52219 (23). Sideleva 2001:69 [ref. 26181] indicates that the holotype is ZIN 52197 (52), paratype: ZIN 52219 (23). Appeared first without distinguishing features in Bogutskaya et al. 2001:47 [ref. 26178] and apparently also in Sideleva 2001:69 [ref. 26181]. •Valid as Neocottus thermalis Sideleva 2002 -- (Bogutskaya et al. 2001:47 [ref. 26178] [but not dating to this account], Sideleva 2003:19, 201 [ref. 27815], Bogutskaya & Naseka 2004:199 [ref. 28183], Goto et al. 2014:[15] [ref. 33456]). Current status: Valid as Neocottus thermalis Sideleva 2002. Cottidae. Distribution: Lake Baikal, Russia. Habitat: freshwater.
