Distribution: Northwestern Atlantic: Canada south to Mexico, including Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean Sea; North Atlantic: Greenland, Iceland; eastern Atlantic: Norway south to Gabon. Southern populations aparently based on distinct, undescribed species. Habitat: marine.
