Current status: Valid as Austrolebias jaegari Costa & Cheffe 2002. Rivulidae: Cynolebiinae. Distribution: South America: Do Timba Swamp, Rio Grande do Sul State, Laguna dos Patos system, Brazil. Habitat: freshwater.
