Holotype: MTD F 24833. Paratypes: MTD F 24834-35 (1, 1); CIRA-UTB 969 (1); Géry Private coll. 1041:1-2 (2). Type catalog: Zarske 2003:18 [ref. 27474]. •Valid as Moenkhausia dorsinuda Zarske & Géry 2002 -- (Benine in Reis et al. 2003:147 [ref. 27061], Carvalho et al. 2014:378 [ref. 33383], Sarmiento et al. 2014:49, 185 [ref. 35004]). Current status: Valid as Moenkhausia dorsinuda Zarske & Géry 2002. Characidae: Stethaprioninae. Distribution: Amazon River basin, Bolivia. Habitat: freshwater.
