Paratypes: ZIN 3719a (4). •Synonym of Tripophysa stoliczkai (Steindachner 1866) but a valid subspecies -- (Prokofiev 2006:257 [ref. 29061]). •Valid as Triplophysa rossoperegrinatorum Prokofiev 2001 -- (Prokofiev 2007:7 [ref. 28990], Prokofiev 2010:895 [ref. 31096]). •Questionably a synonym of Triplophysa hexiensis (Zhao & Wang 1988) -- (Kottelat 2012:126 [ref. 32367]). Current status: Uncertain as Triplophysa hexiensis (Zhao & Wang 1988). Nemacheilidae. Distribution: China (if valid). Habitat: freshwater.
