A.] & Rema Devi [K.] 2002:32, Figs. 1-3 [Acta Zoologica Taiwanica v. 13 (no. 1); ref. 26804] Panniyar Stream, a tributary of the Periyar River, above Ponmudi Reservoir at Santhampari Hills (4 kilometers from Pooparai Village), 9°82'N, 77°15'E, Idukki District of Kerala, India, elevation 912 meters. Holotype: ZSI/SRS F.5322. Paratypes: ZSI/SRS F.5323 (1), MSU/SPKCES F.3 (4). •Valid as Homaloptera santhamparaiensis Arunachalam, Johnson & Rema Devi 2002 -- (Kurup & Radhakrishnan 2011:225 [ref. 31584], Kottelat 2012:50 [ref. 32367] as 'Homaloptera'). •Valid as Ghatsa santhamparaiensis (Arunachalam, Johnson & Rema Devi 2002) -- (Randall & Page 2015:79 [ref. 33701] with question, Bleher 2018:110 [ref. 36647], Sidhartan et al. 2021:81 [ref. 38132]). Current status: Valid as Ghatsa santhamparaiensis (Arunachalam, Johnson & Rema Devi 2002). Balitoridae. Distribution: South Asia: Periyar River drainage in the Cardamon Hills, Western Ghats (Kerala, India). Habitat: freshwater.
