Holotype: INHS 90760. Paratypes: INHS 91975 (3). All other paratypes are ex. INHS 91975: AUM 29022 (2), SIUC 43055 (2), UAIC 3775.16 (9), UF 119606 (2), USNM 367643 (3). Plus non-type material. •Valid as Etheostoma derivativum Page, Hardman & Near 2003 -- (Nelson et al. 2004:133 [ref. 27807], Scharpf 2008:24 [ref. 30399], Page & Burr 2011:597 [ref. 31215], Page et al. 2013:137 [ref. 32708], Near & Thomas 2015:136 [ref. 34008]). Current status: Valid as Etheostoma derivativum Page, Hardman & Near 2003. Percidae: Etheostomatinae. Distribution: Tennessee and Kentucky, U.S.A. Habitat: freshwater.
