Holotype: NMNZ P.38012. Paratypes: NIWA uncat. (10, 1 c&s), NIWA uncat. (12); NMNZ P.38011 (9), 38463 (8). •Valid as Galaxias macronasus McDowall & Waters 2003 -- (Raadik 2014:159 [ref. 33606], McDowall & Stewart 2015:397 [ref. 34241]). Current status: Valid as Galaxias macronasus McDowall & Waters 2003. Galaxiidae: Galaxiinae. Distribution: South Island of New Zealand. Habitat: freshwater.
