Current status: Valid as Hemiarius verrucosus (Ng 2003). Ariidae: Ariinae. Distribution: Southeast Asia: middle and lower reaches of the Mekong River basin and possibly the lower Bang Pakong, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam. Habitat: freshwater.
