Neotype: ZISP 52053. Replacement name for Nemacheilus dorsalis humilis Gundriser 1962, preoccupied. Neotype designated for humilis Gundriser by Prokofiev 2002:S49 [ref. 27462]. •Valid as Triplophysa gundriseri Prokofiev 2002 -- (Bogutskaya & Naseka 2004:116 [ref. 28183], Kottelat 2006:55 [ref. 28831], Ocock et al. 2006:29 [ref. 28933], Prokofiev 2006:256 [ref. 29061] with subspecies, Prokofiev 2010:907 [ref. 31096], Kottelat 2012:126 [ref. 32367], Prokofiev 2016:203 [ref. 34459], Dyldin et al. 2023:[9] [ref. 40328]). Current status: Valid as Triplophysa gundriseri Prokofiev 2002. Nemacheilidae. Distribution: East Asia: northwestern Mongolia; Ubsu Nur Lake basin (Russia). Habitat: freshwater.
