Holotype: MNHN 1997-3715. Paratypes: AMS I.41087-001 [ex MNHN 1997-3740] (1); CSIRO H 5696-01 [ex MNHN 1997-3741] (1); MNHN 1997-3701 to 3714 (1 ea. = 14), 3716 (1), 3717 (1, embryo). •Valid as Urolophus neocaledoniensis Séret & Last 2003 -- (Yearsley & Last 2006:50 [ref. 28667], Schwartz 2008:35 [ref. 36773], Fricke et al. 2011:347 [ref. 31242], Weigmann 2016:159 [ref. 34211], Yearsley & Last 2016:38 [ref. 34939], Last et al. 2016:698 [ref. 35015]). Current status: Valid as Urolophus neocaledoniensis Séret & Last 2003. Urolophidae. Distribution: Southwestern Pacific: Chesterfield Islands, New Caledonia, and northern part of Norfolk Ridge. Habitat: marine.
