Plus non-type material. •Valid as Myloplus planquettei Jégu, Keith & Le Bail 2003 -- (Andrade et al. 2016:165 [ref. 34307], Andrade et al. 2016:579 [ref. 34960], Andrade et al. 2018:121 [ref. 35868], Andrade et al. 2019:[8] [ref. 37167]). •Valid as Myleus planquettei (Jégu, Keith & Le Bail 2003) -- (Kolmann et al. 2020:11 [ref. 37721], Borstein et al. 2022:16 [ref. 39507], Taphorn et al. 2022:28 [ref. 41297], Ota et al. 2024:411 [ref. 40817]). Current status: Valid as Myleus planquettei (Jégu, Keith & Le Bail 2003). Serrasalmidae: Myleinae. Distribution: South America: Mana and Maroni basins (French Guiana and Suriname), and Essequibo basin (Guyana). Habitat: freshwater.
