insperatus, Scorpaenopsis Motomura [H.] 2004:546, Figs. 1-2 [Copeia 2004 (no. 3); ref. 27914] Near end of fuel wharf, east side of Chowder Bay, Sydney Harbour, New South Wales, Australia, 33°50'48"S, 151°15'35"E, depth 14.4 meters. Holotype: AMS I.40868-011. Paratypes: AMS I.40868-030 (1). The species epithet insperatus is an adjective, and therefore changes its ending to insperata when in the feminine genus Scorpaenopsis. •Valid as Scorpaenopsis insperatus Motomura 2004 -- (Allen et al. 2006:889 [ref. 29066], Motomura & Causse 2011:50 [ref. 31125]). •Valid as Scorpaenopsis insperata Motomura 2004. Current status: Valid as Scorpaenopsis insperata Motomura 2004. Scorpaenidae: Scorpaeninae. Distribution: Southwestern Pacific: New South Wales (Australia). Habitat: marine.
