Holotype: WAM P.32334-004. Paratypes: WAM P.32462-001 (1). Type catalog: Moore et al. 2008:16 [ref. 30117]. •Valid as Doryrhamphus (Dunckerocampus) naia Allen & Kuiter 2004 -- (Koeda et al. 2016:19 [ref. 35333], Yuki et al. 2024:15 [ref. 41286]). •Valid as Dunckerocampus naia Allen & Kuiter 2004 -- (Kuiter 2009:181 [ref. 30404], Allen & Erdmann 2012:194 [ref. 31980], Hamilton et al. 2016:Supplement 4 [ref. 35615], Allen & Erdmann 2024:212 [ref. 40796]). Current status: Valid as Dunckerocampus naia Allen & Kuiter 2004. Syngnathidae: Nerophinae. Distribution: Western Pacific: Indonesia east to Mariana Islands and Fiji, south to Solomon Islands, north to southern Japan. Habitat: marine.
