Holotype: HRA 200210005. Paratypes: (4) HRA 200210001-004 (4), private collection Weixian Li. Misspelled hugebarbus in Fig. 1 (p. 62), otherwise as hugeibarbus. •Valid as Sinocyclocheilus hugeibarbus Li & Ran 2003 -- (Zhao & Zhang 2006:773 [ref. 31176], Romero et al. 2009 [ref. 30522], Zhou et al. 2011:388 [ref. 31373], Zhao et al. 2011:1551 [ref. 31493], Ma & Zhao 2012:109 [ref. 34891], Zhang et al. 2016:100 [ref. 34477], Zhao et al. 2021:221 [ref. 39337]). Current status: Valid as Sinocyclocheilus hugeibarbus Li & Ran 2003. Cyprinidae: Cyprininae. Distribution: East Asia: underground rivers, Libo County, Hongshuihe River basin, Guizhou Province, China. Habitat: freshwater.
