Holotype: CNUC 36074. Paratypes: CAS 221356 (5); CNUC 36064-68 (5), 36114-18 (5), 36179-83 (5); FKUN 33764-68 (5). •Valid as Nipponocypris koreanus (Kim, Oh & Hosoya 2005). Current status: Valid as Nipponocypris koreanus (Kim, Oh & Hosoya 2005). Xenocyprididae. Distribution: Japan and Korea. Habitat: freshwater.
