Holotype: ZRC 48664. Paratypes: CMK 15313 (22), LARREC uncat. (6), NMMB P-2055 (6), ZRC 48665 (6). Appeared first in an unavailable way in ref. 25482 (see separate record). •Valid as Sineleotris namxamensis Chen & Kottelat 2004 -- (Kottelat 2013:388 [ref. 32989], Parenti 2021:436 [ref. 38603]). •Possibly valid as Microdous namxamensis (Chen & Kottelat 2004) -- (Hu et al. 2023:11 [ref. 40052], Wang et al. 2024:378 [ref. 41299]). •Valid as Microdous namxamensis (Chen & Kottelat 2004) -- (Endruweit 2024:93 [ref. 41040]). Current status: Valid as Microdous namxamensis (Chen & Kottelat 2004). Odontobutidae. Distribution: Southeast Asia: northeastern Laos and northern Vietnam. Habitat: freshwater.
