C.] 2005:165, Fig. 20 [Neotropical Ichthyology v. 3 (no. 2); ref. 28270] Creek of upper río Nercua, about 7°01'N, 77°30'W, large tributary of río Trunando, Choco, Colombia. Holotype: USNM 305348. Paratypes: ICNMHN 7272 (2); USNM 372825 (4), 372826 (2, c&s). Plus non-type specimens. Type catalog: Ferraris 2007:132 [ref. 29155], Mojica & Agudelo-Zamora 2018:44 [ref. 36127]. •Valid as Cetopsis fimbriata Vari, Ferraris & de Pinna 2005 -- (de Pinna et al. 2007:803 [ref. 29247], Ferraris 2007:132 [ref. 29155], DoNascimiento et al. 2017:84 [ref. 35633], Abrahão & de Pinna 2018:117 [ref. 35957]). Current status: Valid as Cetopsis fimbriata Vari, Ferraris & de Pinna 2005. Cetopsidae: Cetopsinae. Distribution: Atrato River basin, Caribbean versant of northwestern Colombia. Habitat: freshwater.
