C.] 2005:218, Fig. 53 [Neotropical Ichthyology v. 3 (no. 2); ref. 28270] Caño "Sabalito," small creek on terra firma about 40 kilometers south of Iquitos (4°14'45"S, 73°24'57"W), Loreto, Peru. Holotype: ANSP 178466. Paratypes: ANSP 179141 (2); FMNH 111689 (3); MUSM 20297 (2); NRM 18387 (3); USNM 372758 (1). Plus non-type specimens. Type catalog: Ferraris 2007:134 [ref. 29155]. •Valid as Denticetopsis seducta Vari, Ferraris & de Pinna 2005 -- (Ferraris 2007:134 [ref. 29155], Barriga Salazar 2014:110 [ref. 35745], DoNascimiento et al. 2017:84 [ref. 35633], Meza-Vargas et al. 2021:24 [ref. 39298]). Current status: Valid as Denticetopsis seducta Vari, Ferraris & de Pinna 2005. Cetopsidae: Cetopsinae. Distribution: South America: Amazon River basin and possibly southwestern portions of Orinoco River (Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru). Habitat: freshwater.
