Current status: Valid as Pseudogobio banggiangensis Nguyen 2002. Gobionidae. Distribution: Soputheast Asia, East Asia: Bàng River, Cao Bàng (Vietnam and southern China). IUCN (2024): Not Assessed. Habitat: freshwater.
