Holotype: VNCNTTS I: H.01.92.14.01. Paratypes: VNCNTTS I: H.01.92.14.02 (2). •Questionably valid as Bangana binhluensis (Nguyen 2001) -- (Kottelat 2013:75 [ref. 32989]). •Questionably valid as Altigena binhluensis (Nguyen 2001) -- (Kottelat 2017:494 [ref. 35262]). Current status: Valid as Altigena binhluensis (Nguyen 2001). Cyprinidae: Labeoninae. Distribution: Rivers in Phong Thô County, Lai Châu Province, Vietnam. Habitat: freshwater.
