S.] 2005:744, Figs. 1-4 [Journal of Fish Biology v. 67 (no. 3); ref. 28380] Northeastern Atlantic, off Portugal, 36°35'N, 8°35'W. Holotype: MB 4666. Paratypes: MB 4666 (1). Plus 11 non-type specimens. •Valid as Hydrolagus lusitanicus Moura, Figueiredo, Bordalo-Machado, Almeida & Gordo 2005 -- (Barnett et al. 2006:35 [ref. 28820], Weigmann 2016:167 [ref. 34211] see remarks, Walovich et al. 2017:515 [ref. 35113], Almeida & Biscoito 2019:34 [ref. 37302], Carneiro et al. 2019:54 [ref. 37250], Séret & Quod 2023:3 [ref. 40565]). Current status: Valid as Hydrolagus lusitanicus Moura, Figueiredo, Bordalo-Machado, Almeida & Gordo 2005. Chimaeridae. Distribution: Northeastern Atlantic: Portugal endemic. Habitat: marine.
