Paratypes: SAIAB 9897 (1), 40265 (9). •Valid as Enneapterygius kosiensis Holleman 2005 -- (Fricke 2009:40 [ref. 30394], Patzner et al. 2009:445 [ref. 30396], Holleman 2022:416 [ref. 39961], Fricke et al. 2024:35 [ref. 41244]). Current status: Valid as Enneapterygius kosiensis Holleman 2005. Tripterygiidae: Tripterygiinae. Distribution: Western Indian Ocean: KwaZulu-Natal (South Africa) endemic. Habitat: marine.
