Holotype: ZFMK 27167. Paratypes: UMMZ 245016 (3); ZFMK 24068-24073 (6), 27166 (1), 27168-27183 (17), 27184-27185 (2); ZRC 49127 (2). Type catalog: Ferraris 2007:104 [ref. 29155], Ng & Kim 2008:38 [ref. 29920], Herder et al. 2010:119 [ref. 31087]. •Valid as Pseudomystus sobrinus Ng & Freyhof 2005 -- (Ferraris 2007:104 [ref. 29155], Kim & Ng 2008:46 [ref. 29456], Ng 2008:98 [ref. 29540], Kottelat 2013:265 [ref. 32989]). Current status: Valid as Pseudomystus sobrinus Ng & Freyhof 2005. Bagridae. Distribution: Song Ba and nearby rivers, southern Vietnam. Habitat: freshwater.
