Paratypes: FMNH 113936 (2), 113937 (2), 113938 (3); MBUCV-V-30783 (10), 30784 (2), 30785 (6). •Valid as Bryconops magoi Chernoff & Machado-Allison 2005 -- (Wingert & Malabarba 2011:474 [ref. 31515], Silva-Oliveira et al. 2015:140 [ref. 33906] as Af. majoi, DoNascimiento et al. 2017:64 [ref. 35633], Silva-Oliveira et al. 2019:11 [ref. 36769], Silva-Oliveira et al. 2019:382 [ref. 36876], Silva-Oliveira & Lima 2024:374 [ref. 40817]). Current status: Valid as Bryconops magoi Chernoff & Machado-Allison 2005. Iguanodectidae. Distribution: South America: Amazon River basin, Colombia, Venezuela and Brazil. Habitat: freshwater.
