Teeth of the species were originally illustrated, but the species not named, in Whitley 1940:105, fig. 103, [ref. 4700]. •Synonym of Negaprion acutidens (Rüppell 1837) -- (Compagno 1984:517 [ref. 6846], Last & Stevens 1994:263 [ref. 23873] as inominatus, Hoese et al. 2006:105 [ref. 29001]). Current status: Synonym of Negaprion acutidens (Rüppell 1837). Carcharhinidae. Habitat: brackish, marine.
