Current status: Valid as Acrossocheilus spinifer Yuan, Wu & Zhang 2006. Cyprinidae: Acrossocheilinae. Distribution: River basins in Fujian Provence and Han Jiang basin, Guangdong Province, southern China. Habitat: freshwater.
