Current status: Valid as Pateobatis hortlei (Last, Manjaji-Matsumoto & Kailola 2006). Dasyatidae: Urogymninae. Distribution: Southern Irian Jaya, Papua New Guinea and northern Australia. Habitat: brackish, marine.
