Paratypes: MCP 18241 (2); MNRJ 6318 (2); MZUSP 2530 (2), 35308 (1), 36540 (1), 37908 (1), 40231 (1), 41204 (1), 41208 (1). •Valid as Crenicichla iguapina Kullander & Lucena 2006 -- (Kullander 2009:49 [ref. 30051], Kullander & Lucena 2013:154 [ref. 32675], Mattos et al. 2014:37 [ref. 33306], Reis et al. 2020:472 [ref. 38364], Varella et al. 2023:3 [ref. 40273]). Current status: Valid as Crenicichla iguapina Kullander & Lucena 2006. Cichlidae: Cichlinae. Distribution: South America: Ribeira de Iguapé River drainage, southeastern Mata Atlantica (São Paulo State, Brazil). Habitat: freshwater.
