Current status: Valid as Ericymba amplamala (Pera & Armbruster 2006). Leuciscidae: Pogonichthyinae. Distribution: North America: Gulf Slope drainages, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and Florida (southeastern U.S.A.). Habitat: freshwater.
