H.] 2006:96, Figs. 50-52 [The Borneo Suckers; ref. 28716] Mainstream of Sungai Pinoh 20-60 kilometers upstream from Nangapinoh, 0°27.5 - 41.5'S, 111°39 - 45.5'E, Kapuas basin, Kalimantan Barat, Borneo, Indonesia. Holotype: MZB 3450. Paratypes: CAS 49321 (1); CMK 10569 (5); MZB 3452 (1), 3453 (1), 3454 (1); USNM 230248 (1). •Valid as Gastromyzon praestans Tan 2006 -- (Kottelat 2012:63 [ref. 32367], Kottelat 2013:193 [ref. 32989]). Current status: Valid as Gastromyzon praestans Tan 2006. Gastromyzontidae. Distribution: Kapuas River basin, Kotawaringin, Katingan and possibly Barito River basins, Borneo. Habitat: freshwater.
