Plus non-type specimens. •Synonym of Cichla ocellaris Bloch & Schneider 1801 -- (Willis et al. 2012:18 [ref. 37399], Sabaj et al. 2020:84 [ref. 37398]). •Valid as Cichla pleiozona Kullander & Ferreira 2006 -- (Sarmiento et al. 2014:126, 189 [ref. 35004], Careaga et al. 2020:77 [ref. 37774]). Current status: Valid as Cichla pleiozona Kullander & Ferreira 2006. Cichlidae: Cichlinae. Distribution: South America: Amazon basin and Guaporé river drainages (Bolivia and Brazil).
