Current status: Valid as Tigrigobius redimiculus (Taylor & Akins 2007). Gobiidae: Gobiinae. Distribution: Western Atlantic: western Gulf of Mexico/Veracruz (Mexico) endemic. IUCN (2015): Vulnerable.
