flavomaculatus, Thymallus grubii Knizhin [I. B.], Antonov [A. L.] & Weiss [S. J.] 2006:355 [Voprosy Ikhtiologii v. 46 (no. 5); ref. 29044] Anyui River, tributary of the Lower Amur River basin, Russia. Holotype: ZMISU no. R-4 (male). Paratypes: ZMISU no. R-4 (female). Plus additional unlisted paratypes. •Synonym of Thymallus grubii Dybowski 1869, but a valid subspecies flavomaculatus Knizhin, Antonov & Weiss 2006 as described -- (Knizhin et al. 2007:136 [ref. 29043]). •Valid as Thymallus flavomaculatus Knizhin, Antonov & Weiss 2006 -- (Bogutskaya et al. 2008:344 [ref. 30085], Dyldin et al. 2017:113 [ref. 35967], Weiss et al. 2020:[3] [ref. 37974]). Current status: Valid as Thymallus flavomaculatus Knizhin, Antonov & Weiss 2006. Salmonidae: Thymallinae. Distribution: East Asia: upper reaches of tributaries of the lower Amur River, upstream to the Ussuri basin, and some large rivers flowing into the Sea of Okhotsk (Russia). Habitat: freshwater.
